The Seasonal Weather Information System (SWIS) pavement temperature sensor (PTS) is a dual element electronic temperature sensor that has been designed to measure the pavement temperature. The sensor is fully potted and encased in a stainless steel sleeve. The internal temperature sensor has an accuracy of 0.0625° C between -55C and +100C.
The stainless steel sleeve includes a mounting tab that has a 5/16" clearance hole to accommodate a ¼" Tapcon fastener. The sensor is custom designed to interface with the NYSTA SWIS measurement system.
